- Bridging the Gap Between Judges and Corporate Counsel: What Each Side Wants the Other to Know
Judges and corporate counsel are significant participants in major litigation, but rarely get to communicate directly about e-discovery issues. Judges want corporate parties to know their expectations when it comes to legal holds, discovery cooperation, ESI sources, and more. On the other side, corporations want judges to understand the challenges they face when confronted with the need to preserve, process, and review large volumes of ESI to meet discovery demands, while also dealing with opposing parties that may use burdensome discovery to extract large settlements. In this session, in-house counsel will discuss these communication gaps with Judge Rodriguez and Judge Waxse, and each will share what they wish the other side knew.
